Herbology 2

Herbology 2 is a continuation of Herbology 1, delving deeper into the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbs. This course expands students’ knowledge by covering an additional 400 single herbs, focusing on their properties, functions, and therapeutic applications. Emphasis is placed on understanding the diverse actions and indications of herbs to formulate effective treatment plans.

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory. Students are expected to attend all classes. Absences must be justified and may impact the final grade.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of additional TCM herbs, including their properties, actions, and therapeutic applications.
  • Understand the functions of herbs that regulate Qi, blood, and body temperature, as well as tonifying and stabilizing herbs.
  • Learn about substances that calm the spirit, open the orifices, extinguish wind, stop tremors, expel parasites, and are used for external application.
