Why study in CCTCM

We are a warm, energetic, engaged community of people who appreciate and support each other. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. Our faculty are experts with wide-ranging clinical practices and an average of more than 10 years teaching experience. We are dedicated to promoting our patients’ health, our students’ success and our graduates’ careers.

You may be wondering about the portability of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture or, in other words, how easy it is to move and set up practice in other jurisdictions. Traditional Chinese Medicine is a wonderful profession in that it can meet the needs of the person who wants to settle into a stable practice as well as those who want to travel the world.

In North America, Traditional Chinese Medicine is typically regulated by province or state, and each one has its own set of requirements. Ontario graduates, who have completed one of the most extensive programs in North America, generally find that the requirements of other jurisdictions are easily met. Portability within Canada is generally a simple process of presenting your Ontario credentials.

Our curriculum is built from years of experience, through clinical experience and academic research. Our clinical program gives students unparalleled access to different types of people and health conditions. We build confidence and skill through classroom-to-clinic integration and a focus on experiential learning. We provide on-site and off-site placements that include broad access to hospital and rehabilitation settings.
