Intro to Paediatrics

Intro to Paediatrics provides an in-depth study of the growth and development of children from fetus to adolescent, focusing on physiology, pathology, feeding, healthcare, and prevention and treatment of various diseases. The course will cover the fundamental 24 paediatrics conditions outlined by CTCMPAO for the Pan-Canadian exam. Treatment methods through acupuncture and/or herbal prescriptions will be explored.

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory. Students are allowed a maximum of two excused absences. Additional absences may result in grade penalties.

Passing Mark

To successfully complete this course, students are required to achieve a minimum grade of 60%. All assignments and assessments must be completed and submitted on time. Attendance may also contribute to the final grade.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop treatment strategies for managing various paediatric disorders.
