Clinic - CLIN 3201

The Clinic (CLIN 3102) course is designed to provide students with practical training in implementing herbal treatment plans and managing herbal inventories in a clinical setting. Students will learn how to instruct patients on accessing and administering Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulas, as well as maintaining herbal inventory, preparing, and dispensing herbal formulas.

Attendance

Regular attendance is required to participate in practical exercises and clinical simulations.

Passing Mark

Successful completion of this course requires that students achieve a minimum of 60% or higher. All evaluations must be completed and handed in on time for a course grade. Attendance will account for 10% of the final mark.

  • Locate key bones, muscles, and blood supply in the head, trunk, and limbs.
  • Describe the range of joint articulation and the role of major muscles in coordinating movement.
  • Identify abdominal and thoracic regions and their corresponding internal structures.
  • Recognize surface anatomical structures essential for locating acupuncture points.
  • Identify local anatomy in areas where acupuncture poses inherent injury risks.
